Provide a short description of your synthetic’s backstory
The Caine model was a project that aimed to appeal to more higher class families who wanted to seek a ‘proper’ and well-handled synthetic who take on varying tasks from around the workplace to tasks at home, doubling as a caretaker and assistant. However only few models were made due to their exclusivity and being seen as competition to other caretaking models on the market.
Describe your synth’s personality without mentioning their skills or previous professions
The Caine model is professionalism, confidentiality, and offering attentive and formal care to those it is in service to. This model carries a heavy tie in to Victorian era butlers and prides themselves on their gentlemanly and formal way to approach situations.
How would your synthetic interact with enlisted personnel, officers and civilians? How could you involve your personality into these interactions?
That’s quite a good one! So let’s start from the top,
Commander and Captains - He would consider them to be the ‘masters’ of the ship, he would always speak to them with utmost respect, truthful and hiding nothing, asking if there is any way he can offer his services, or if they would like him doing any particular task. While he would not go out of his way to ask too many questions, he would always check in on them to make sure they are mentally, and physically alright.
Command (Think SO, ASO, QM, Etc.) - He would still speak with his rather formal tone but it would carry a subtle friendliness to it, rather than approaching them with full on professionalism, he would still see them as management to the ship, similar to those in wealthy households who oversee their respective departments. He would be more forthcoming and speaking but always maintaining his gentlemanly charm.
As for your marine, let’s say medic, tech and those of that nature.. He would still be as polite as ever, while he wouldn’t OORAH! Or make any loud and rowdy behavior, he certainly would be supportive of their actions and even offering a polite laugh if it seemed appropriate. He wouldn’t hesitate to stop and ask if they have everything they need for the operation, if perhaps they would need to speak about something or if they simply find themselves unsure, he would mind offering an opinion or guiding them if they are lost on the ship or groundside.
Civilians.. He would treat them about the same as a marine, though he would not make mention about any secretive information ever. If the operation is going to shit and the front got OB’d, he would simply say things to dismiss the idea of things crashing and burning to simply maintain appearances.
Why do you want to be a synthetic/why should we whitelist you?
A good question.. Why do I want to be a synthetic? As an avid old TGMC synth player, I always loved playing synthetic.
Sometimes I’ll be in a round and I’ll roll medic, but then comms has been setup in over 20 minutes, or I’ll see our techs are rolling all brute and we don’t even have a simple cade line to heal the wounded behind without queen and her 3 running at us, or those accursed 1 tile wide pathways on high pop leading to people shuffling each other to run out the boiler gas.
And I honestly adore RP and I would love to be able to diversify the RP I can engage in. I’ve always been so jealous of synthetic survivors and their flexibility into being something more than ‘shoot x kill x’
I would hope to join to at least give a few people my take on how a synthetic butler would fit in and offering an RP experience if they wish to indulge.

How familiar are you in CMs support roles such as medical/engineering/requisitions/command and which of them are you more and less proficient in?
This one is super easy! Medical roles.. There is very things I cannot do, from surgery to a late stage patient (I love the sound of breaking ribs!) to the on the fly use of tools for surgery. I’m also very familiar with chem line and a bit of research, though I am by no means good at research, I’ve tried to learn it but.. it’s not bore fruit. As for engineering, I’d say I’m quite good at that too, I can make contraptions with signaling devices and even know how to build machines from an automate to a medibot, and I think I am quite quick on being able to fix an APC(broken or shattered) with swift ease. Now onto Req.. Honestly it’s incredibly easy and I am not willingly gonna give you all the AP mags, I ration them out depending on the line and varying other factors, but I find req fun.. if you know what you’re doing(fetching stuff from maintenance and preps). Command.. I don’t dabble much in, I am familiar with consoles, OB, drops, and even using the tech tree/map doodling. If I had to mention my weakest role, it’d be MP stuff, I am not the biggest fan of it but.. I do know the basics and general understanding of it. However if I am finding myself lost to anything I always have the wiki on speed dial, and my notepad I have on my PC with varying pieces of information I’ve collected through my time.
What are some scenarios that you can perform combat in? Give us a brief example.
Well this one is a no brainer, synthetics aren’t fighters but it doesn’t mean they are punching bags either. “Seek Peace But Prepare For War” is a perfect description. My job is to help, not frag xx-young runner.
Let’s give some examples..
The front has massively wiped, queen and her entourage is actively running at you, but she’s rather slow so her runners and lurkers are chasing the last 6 of you alive.
I would make sure we were all together, asking to stick close as I have spotted their runners and lurkers speeding in front to cut us off. I noticed the two who were without fractured/red tag are now jumped and killed, despite my shaking of them, So it would be just me,the dead corpse I’m carrying and 2 others who are actively bleeding and slow.
I would prepare to fight the assault of the backliners so we may make our way to FOB.
Example 2
CO has ordered me and a few others head over to northern comms to fix it, but on our way we are jumped by a surprise ambush by 4 lurkers, killing off most of the force and leaving me and 2 others to fend on our own. I noticed one guy got PB’d by a PVT, instantly killing him and leaving me and the PVT, I would continue to try to escort the fellow, baton or whatever melee I have in hand, prepared to fight off any sneaky thing.

Honestly Ive been working on this for too long and figured ‘eh why not.’ I’ve went through a few types of synthetic but I figured a butler would be the most fun for me!
