I got an automatic unappealable seven day ban for typing a word in dchat that I didn’t know was ban-able. Will someone give me a list of words that automatically ban-able in-game? I would appreciate it.
Yeah, that would be great. Cuz aside from the obvious “nugget” word, “maggot” word and “deltard” word there are some obscure ones like the “tarp” word (which I’ve been banned for cuz I didn’t know it was a forbidden jitsu here)

Aside from the very obvious examples, I doubt you’ll get a list outside of certain words being clarified as being a slur, the recent ban of the R-Word is a example of a clarified one due to the fact it is still a commonly used word amongst other similar communities and in the wider internet discourse.
Some of this can also come down to context of how the word is used, as not all slurs are born equal. Plus we then move into the realm of non-English words.
If you have to take pause to consider if something you might say is a slur then act on the side of caution and clarify it.

What steelpoint said for the most part, the only word that’s really bannable that you might not think it would be is the R word, otherwise any sort of slang for things that could be considered offensive towards any minority groups is a pretty good bet to get you in trouble.
If you’re unsure if what youre saying could be misinterpreted you could always PM an admin to make sure ahead of time, otherwise you can always appeal your ban and wait.
I think wikipedia has an entry for known slurs though if you want to study :^), dont post the wiki link tho, got punished for that LOL

I can give you a list of safe words instead (this is all you will ever need to say and you will still be HRP) , you will never be banned if you only use those:

In fact i think given the quality of our avg marine in-lore, this probably encompasses 90% of their known vocabulary anyways; no other words are needed, save for maybe “crayon” and “MRE”

Im answering in good faith on the assumption you were serious about the last line lol but:
“nuggets” would be euphemistic for another phonetically similar racial slur
“maggots” would be rhyming with a homophobic slur
Neither of the above words are /actually/ banned, i suppose. Blah blah context and not using them as replacements matters but you knew that already

Can’t say slurs in a sarcastic manner? Okay, cultural barrier issue, I can live with it.
But can someone specify what “slurs” are? I tried using my common sense to avoid 'em and it failed me twice since I’m not a native Englishman and had no idea you perceive “trap” and “deltard” as slurs (fuck’s sake, I’ve been using those words for the whole 5 years I’m playing this game).
Can I throw insults without the fear that some admin will bust my nuts with his banhammer, please?

You highlight why policing language is always a stupid fruitless endevour and how dumb this all is.
But ultimately the reason they cant give you a list is because not even admins know. It changes enforcer to enforcer, and depends on mood. It also depends on how much the offended person decides to cry, whinge, and be a bother.
“JUST USE COMMON SENSE BRO” is a lazy cop out by staff who want to ban words they dont like but dont want to come up with an unbiased and reasonable actual list and rules for adding/maintaining it. (Which is also a stupid waste of time… but if you are in for penny on policing language your in for a pound)
Above also falls down at the simplest examples of bias. Black slurs banned and not allowed. White slurs not taken seriously. And a million other examples.
Ultimately you just have to not talk to anyone. If someone makes you mad in the game… punch them in the face. Because beating someone to death over a mistake is easier than insulting them and hoping its not the new no no word

Last time I ODd and cremated the CMO I got 8 hour ban.
Last time I said the *-word I was blasted to kingdom come for a week.
That’s the biggest pile of bullshit I experienced in a while… But yeah, guess we just have to cope with it

I am neither of these things and this post isn’t considering the question in the OP.
It would be nice to at least have a non-exhaustive list.
Whether or not people agree on what makes a word enough of a slur to make it on the list.
Can’t say I’ve managed to stumble upon one of these banned words by accident yet though.

I agree there is no complete list of words to show. This really shows that the rules for CM are arbitrary and unpredictable from mod to mod or admin to admin. IMO LTNTS has it out for me, because Im A nAuGhTy BOy Lmao
