It was neither. Hell, I was denied into kindergarten twice because I couldnāt pronounce ārāsā. Itās just hip to play pretend that yeah those of heavy foreign exposure or foreign origin donāt speak English the same. Nowadays when someone asks what Iāve said I apologize for my āthickā Japanese accent, which is heavy Midwestern after almost six decades.

Bro my first round (that i remember) was a mentor (i think? i dont remember his name) coaching me in a vc when I selected bravo squad. The game just felt so different from now even though it was post-tank removal iirc. CM was funnily enough, the first SS13 experience Iāve ever had and man, do I wish I could feel the same as I first felt.

My fondest memory was being an MP Honor Guard for forest (Charles edwinson)
and getting this medal.
I got to lead a fucking MARSOC team, and I took fucking BULLETS for that guy when some UPP assassin attacked. It was fucking great

To my knowledge from what Iāve heard of his actions, Juro was clearly overexaggerating his accent in order to make his character a deliberately stereotypical Japanese person. Iām honestly fine with this, and I guess the admemes of the era Juro joined were somewhat okay with it too, but the admins have since changed their stance on a lot of issues, and accents like Juroās were one of them.

I was a dirty Xeno main for awhile because I felt it was too much work to fight with req and other marines constantly to get what I wanted, which I could just do as a Xeno easy.
I remember when queens could hold two huggers, and screech+hug. Brought a 3v70 round back to a xeno major.
When spitters could stunlock 5 marines and kill them in about 5 slashes when ancient. Often you just decapped them by the third slash if you were unlucky.
The fucking. Month long Whiskey Outpost when Apop went on vacay and didnāt have access to the box and the map had to be changed manually.
The hive didnāt have protection and the map coords were not randomized, do you always knew what X,Y the hive was going to be, and you would just hammer it with an OB immediately. Or after one marine got captured. And nest combat. I fucking HATED nest combat. Worst shit in the world.

You didnāt love hosts being able to un nest themselves and destroy the hive, so you have to build a checkboard of doors and resin nests just incase one got out? Though, I gotta say I enjoyed that more than the current meta of āstunned, ate, and out of the gameā

I remember when techwebs where around, and we had to choose between a;
metal armour plate[high durability and take a bit of damage off every hit], and
ceramic armour plate[low durability but it breaks and nulls all/most of a big hit only once].
I always picked ceramic.
Also even older, remember the old squad reqs 4-5 years ago? I remember that so many times, and only for delta mostly, that people would break into that small mp area behind the delta req to get drip mp gear. A lot of people where arrested cause of that, good times!
