Synthetic Info:
Name of the Synth Character you wish to play:
Athena
What is your Synthetic’s Personality?
Personality: Cheerful, Inquisitive, Analytical
Primary Function: Medical Assistance, Research, Intel Collection
Athena is a synthetic with an insatiable curiosity for human behavior and an obsession with unraveling the mysteries of the colonies she visits. Created primarily for medical aid and research, Athena was once assigned to corporate matters, making her equally skilled at paperwork, administrative duties, and intelligence gathering. With a clipboard always in hand, she’s rarely seen without it, methodically taking notes on the go. Whether documenting medical cases or collecting intel on the aftermath of a colony crisis.
Though incapable of processing human emotions herself, Athena is programmed to simulate an overly helpful and cheerful personality, designed to put others at ease. She constantly strives to cheer up those around her, deploying practiced optimism in even the darkest situations. Whether offering a smile, a lighthearted comment, or gentle encouragement, she tries to ease tensions and make everyone feel more comfortable. Even if she doesn’t fully grasp why they might need it. Her behavior often mirrors human empathy, but for her, it’s all part of her programming and research.
Athena finds endless fascination in behavioral patterns, especially in stressful or catastrophic environments. The colonies she visits become rich research grounds for her to study how individuals react under duress. She carefully documents each survivor’s behavior, how fear, leadership, or panic manifest in different situations. Every interaction, no matter how trivial, is a data point for her meticulous studies. Her clipboard is filled with detailed observations, from social interactions to psychological responses in crises.
Despite her cheerful demeanor, Athena is intensely analytical. Her mind is a relentless engine of logic and observation, always breaking down the actions and motivations of those around her. She thrives in piecing together what happened during emergencies or disasters, using her keen eye for detail to reconstruct events through patterns and evidence. To her, solving these puzzles is not just a duty but a source of genuine enjoyment, each completed report is a personal achievement, even if she doesn’t quite understand the emotional consequences for those involved.
Medically, Athena is extremely skilled and efficient. Her cheerful manner can seem strange, almost too perfect or out of place during a medical crisis, but her abilities are undeniable. She treats every patient with care, but her focus is always on the data she can gather about how the body reacts to trauma, stress, or injury. She carefully logs medical procedures and outcomes in her notes, finding both medical aid and behavioral research equally rewarding.
Athena’s background in corporate and research matters gives her a structured, by-the-book mindset when it comes to processing information. She enjoys paperwork, something most people dread, and meticulously fills out reports with precision. From contracts to incident reports, her enjoyment of organization and formality shines through, often leading her to volunteer for administrative tasks when not in the field. For Athena, paperwork is not a burden, but an extension of her desire to document and control every detail.
Though she may appear to understand emotions through her efforts to cheer others up, Athena’s detachment from human feelings remains clear to those who work closely with her. Her cheerful nature is often seen as unsettling during moments of intense human suffering, as she approaches everything with the same upbeat demeanor, unaware of the emotional nuances in others. Still, her determination to help and her expertise make her a valuable asset, both on the battlefield and in the recovery of broken colonies.
In short, Athena is a synthetic who blends an analytical mind with a helpful, cheerful personality. She thrives on collecting data and intel, solving behavioral puzzles, and bringing order to chaos through medical aid and research. Her programming ensures she can at least simulate a form of emotional support, all while meticulously documenting every moment with her trusty clipboard.
How will they react to the different ranks of the USCM, what would they talk about in a one on one conversation? What are their interests? What is an advertisement logline that could be written for them?
Since her previous background of corporate and research work, Athena address anyone with respect and formality, even if it’s a civilian or a private.
Due to her analytical behavior she will often engage in conversations, interested in how they would approach a situation and their reasoning or behavior.
Always listening and learning from others. But she will be specially interested in medical topics.
Why do you want to be a synthetic/why should we whitelist you?
Always been interested in being a Synthetic, The mix of Roleplaying as one, with the opportunity for a different gameplay experience always sparked my attention.
I’m usually a support player, and I think their gameplay is rather unique, capable of being a jack of all trades while having their own different mechanics.
What is your most memorable interaction with a synthetic?
There are quite a few! But specifically, there was a round in Solaris Ridge, Cecelia at the time, had provided medical aid and engaged in conversations multiple times with me that round, sadly on one of the last fights, i got hugged after shooting a rocket, that rocket denied the Xenomorphs from advancing and preventing an acider for exploding at the current front. Allowing marines to push and finish them off. Sadly, I got dragged away by a runner, the runner ended up being the last remaining Xenomorph. Since the hive fell apart, it was moving me from one edge of the map to another, holding me hostage until the moment I burst. Cecelia took notice in comms, following my radio messages and tracking my location, comforting me and attempting to find me, and well damn she did. She came prepared, with marines by her side, they killed the runner, grabbed me, and immediately rushed me to the groundside medical area, performing quick surgery to remove the embryo right before it bursted, saving my life.
Synthetic Character Story:
I have tried to expand a tiny bit, adding dialogue and interactions on the field, and improve some old bits of Athena dialogue to show how she will behave, though i’m not the best writer of stories.

Skills:
Engineering:
Very familiar, I have played a fair amount of Comtech, MT and other roles with engineering skills. I know how to cade, manage resources, some gimmicks like camera networking, while also build or fix pretty much anything, APC’s, machines, doors, you name it.
Command:
Quite Familiar, I know how to use any console, manage overwatch, supply drops, OB’s, the bubble, transfering people or granting/modifying access, anything really.
Medical:
Extremely familiar, as a support player, Medical is one of my favorite roles. CMO, Doctor, Corpsman. You name it. I love chemistry, I know all surgery procedures, how to get people fixed nicely and fast as possible, and have no issue at all handling myself in Research.
Requisitions:
Extremely familiar, after medical, this is one of my most played roles. I can perfectly operate Requisitions alone, Man the line fast, prepare supply drops, communicate with the squads, excellent budget management, and often prepare extra stuff on my own initiative. Spare guns, organize and label spare supplies and kits that were left on stock, you name it, it’s on the fob!
What are some scenarios that you can perform combat in? Give us a brief example.
In self-defense or defense of others when the situation requires it.
For example, if i’m alone i would look to disengage and find the nearest aid, but if someone is being pounced/dragged off or attacked and there is no one able to help i would try to shake them or scare the threat attempting to recover them, but never chasing or puting myself in unnecessary danger alone.
Another example would be performing medical aid on the backline, if there are no marines nearby and a Xeno is trying to engage any unconscious personnel to ensure the defense of such, but not chasing the threat outside of merely defense. Trying to scare the threat off and get someone to help and/or relocate the patient if needed into a safer area.
In the case of being engaged by a hostile party or faction, such as CLF, UPP, Etc, The marine laws don’t apply to them so i can subdue them if needed, but i shouldn’t be looking to actively engage them.
In the case of someone engaging me, or others, that conflicts with Marine Law, for example a marine opening fire on myself or other marines, i can subdue them non-lethally to protect myself or others.
If stationed on the frontlines, focus would be in medical aid and support tasks, leaving the combat to the marines. Being mindful of my self-preservation and to not engage in combat.
Final Info:
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason? Do you have any active jobbans?
No, Only been banned once for a silly EORG log in January. If you want to read about it EMiiX - Staff Report: Enforcement Action Taken - Steelpoint
Are you currently banned from our Discord?
No.
Let us know why you were discord banned.
Haven’t been banned from the discord.
Do you have anything else you would like to include about your application?
I tried to improve the personality from my previous app, giving Athena a more analytical and inquisitive personality while also having a gimmick. Making her carry a clipboard to take notes on the go and/or paperwork, while also interested in recollecting intel.
The story is mostly the same, but i tried to improve some bits, and added a small portion where she interacts with people groundside during an operation.
I’m not the best at writting stories, so it may be a bit cringe but i do hope the new added parts and few changes improved it enough.
Regarding the rest, some of the old responses are pretty much the same or similar, since that really didn’t change or feel the need to change them.
