I donât really see the purpose of the tank. If itâs a tank, it should be dangerous, but thatâs not balanced, so they give us a piece of crap pretending to be a tank. Why not give us an IFV? Make it a bit smaller and then give it a gun thatâs good, but not game breaking. Something like the scoped M56Ds you see on WO/the dropship hardpoints could make a good primary. It has AP and good damage and a high enough firerate that it can bully lone xenos without being able to hold off a horde on itâs own. Having a mobile scoped M56D tied to a 2x3 vehicle seems pretty well balanced to me.
Return cannon with a fire delay somewhere between boiler smoke and aimed shot, with an accuracy penalty should the tank have moved during it

The fire mix is incredibly strong and max range, pretty sure that was a Research chem. Or an OT that know their shit with fire chems.
About half his health gets taken by the fire alone it seems.
Just, look frame by frame from sec 4. Rocket impacts, fire spreads, he loses about half his health, blastwave hits, gets pushed down to crit, and in one tick the fire damage gib them from crit -74.
Gonna point this out but first clip shows you getting a direct hit, and all the xenoâs that got hit by it survived. (apart from you)
Yes, but thats still 650 damage taken from a simple point and click. It would litterary gib marines in an area around the impact.
The whole point of OT is modifying something to make me more dangerous, if it gibs marines then its balanced, high risk high reward.
Its not high risk though. The only âhigh riskâ there is, is that the one using it will use it on marines. Or if it was a frequent occurance that it would hit marines gibbing them. But it isnât. You might as well say the M41A is a high risk high reward weapon since you could accidentaly burst a marine to crit.
Yeah but weâre not talking about crit, weâre talking about gibbing people. Meaning a high explosive range of fucking up the frontline and stunning everyone except xenoâs. Leading to it acting like a xenomorph screech. AKA your fucked if you stun the whole front.
Yet a screech has easy counters, and dosnât nececarily perma people immedietly. Meanwhile there is no counter to OT SADAR doing 650 damage to you other then essentially treating the area around them as a âno go zoneâ.
But god, imagine if xenoes had the same power as an OT sadar. Or just a ranged Acider bomb that takes out the whole front.
There is a counter and that is baiting sadar to wiff their shot (Shooting a wall(god forbid its a reflective one)) or taking them out before they even get OT rockets. Maybe that may not even be called a counter but thats a few ways that I could think of in a few seconds. Good screech paired up with a runner and your gonna start capping at a fast rate. Sadar is the only counter to queen screech apart from the queen over extending or missing her screech.
Gonna add to this but queen no longer gets stunned by OT rockets making her the perfect counter for Sadar when theyâre using OT.
If the only way to counter something, is by relying on the others incompetance, then it isnât a counter (and talking about reflective walls, it is nigh on impossible to bait them into shooting at it, since rockets are usualy sprite clicked, not clicked behind the creature. So even if you whiff, it will just hit the tile infront of the wall. I have seen it happen once, but that was because the SADAR was bald as all hell). And if you need to take them out before they get OT rockets, then you somehow gotta hijack the alamyer before 00:20, because you can easily manage to make about 3-6 OT rockets with only one OT personel (done it myself).
And again, screech with a runner is still counterable by having marines outside of screech range, waiting to shoot at the incomming xenoes going for caps (AP SADAR comes to mind).
That would be a fair counter, if you ever actually knew what SADAR had in his rocket launcher. You can never guess if its AP, Maxcap OT, wet fart OT, or normal HE. And you as a queen gotta then bank on the fact that the SADAR didnât load AP once he knew you were at the front.
By that logic buckshot, slugs, fire and nades arenât a counter to anything.
Buckshots are a counter, and is counterable. It counters xenoes who go in close with no stuns against a marine, and is countered by xenoes outmanouvering it, as it only really has a 1 tile range. Slugs counter fast xenoes with low stun resistance, and is countered by having dogshit accuracy. Fire counters xenomorphs in general, albeit pushes the most, and is countered by an acid tower, or an acid spitter class. Nades depends. Handthrown? Stun them. GL? go close so they canât fire on you, or stay next to marines. Both are a counter to no stun resistance xenoes.
Meanwhile, OT SADAR has no other counter then relying on the SADAR to miss. And even then, it can still gib you when he does miss.
