Hi there, first off I have autism and do not consider the word “red" to be offensive and is a colloquial part of my vocabulary. That said, I do not use IC or as an insult to strangers.
I’m not going to argue with your new rule and it slipped my mind at the time of the incident as referring to a stupid mistake I made as "red” did not seem like something I’d get automatically banned for.
In future I will consciously avoid using the word on your server.
In addition, I have found that a grace period was meant to by applied until March 23: Clarify changes to offensive language rules and appeals
An automatic 7 day ban does not seem very graceful; A simple message from an admin or filtering the word out of chat posts would have prevented this.
