No, but I do have one note that I received last year.
If so, why?
No, I’m a flawless angel.
Command Knowledge:
How familiar are you with command positions?
I’m familiar with command positions on SS13 servers, be it on CMSS13 or other “pvp” servers that are on the hub. I know how to do overwatch, active announcements that actually contain useful information, tacmap updates. I have experience with QM but I haven’t played CMO or CE. I’m familiar with the COC, SOP and ML that comes with the command roles. I’m way more familiar with ground command, as I’ve spent around 100 hours (roughly) being an SL (including ASL times)
Hours in XO:
50,1
Hours in SL:
39,4
Character Information:
Why did your character decide to become the CO of a ship?
Vu Thuc Quyen’s reasoning for becoming a CO is to “secure her place in the sun”. Her becoming a CO of Almayer was merely a step toward her end goal, becoming a part of the elite that she serves.
She originated from a family of lowly soldiers and servants, barely even senior enlisted. It’s time for her to set things right, and to take control.
There’s no question that she joined the Marines for “defending her country” and whatever that meant, but it’s clear that it’s no longer true. Something sinister drives her up and forward. Be it hatred when it came to Haar, and her power-hungry nature when it came to her other crimes.
How did your character attain the position of CO?
Filling graves of dissidents and political opposition. Being a master at disinformation, if she did have a problem with her orders - it wouldn’t get in her way.
Vu Thuc Quyen became a known name in the Judge Advocates Division, quickly making ties with high command despite only being a Lieutenant.
She didn’t hesitate, every time there was shit to be done - she put on her gloves. Her aspiration was unrelenting.
Even at a young rank, they made her officers look bad. Calling hookers to her office and drawing attention to it, anonymously calling their wives and husbands and forging evidence of them cheating.
Her final mark was gunning down Lieutenant Colonel, Wallace K. Haar.
Provide a short story of your CO.
Command Actions:
When do you believe it’s appropriate to pardon a prisoner?
Pardons are one of the main powers that CO possesses.
Unintentionally done crimes, be it a Private walking into medbay whilst smoking,
Minor crimes that were committed things done in the best interests of the operation, be it a marine stealing a wey-med during the FOB siege. Breaking into requisitions to equip themselves during a situation that poses a threat to their life, breaking into a locked room where they don’t have access to save a life.
Capital punishments are not something I’d be pardoning, unless the appeal reduced it down to a Major Crime and even then I’d be very iffy about it.
I would be very careful with appeals and pardons, as someone who gets pardoned and or appeals are people I’m responsible for. I wouldn’t want to ignore my MPs, or to even anger them to a point of them accusing me of incompetence if they commit a crime.
Second chances is something Vu believes in, and would offer it to marines she thinks won’t do it again. Innocence is something she respects but doesn’t partake in.
TL;DR I’d take the arresting officer’s side, the appeal guy’s side and the witnesses.
I’d announce the pardons before I approve it.
Give some examples of when you would or would not use pardon.
I wouldn’t pardon someone for capital crimes of course.
I wouldn’t pardon someone just because they’re an awesome fragger that might win us the round
I wouldn’t pardon someone if they did something KNOWING that they’re doing a crime, like someone breaking into MP bay as a joke, breaking into req to steal mortar roundstart,
I wouldn’t pardon someone who directly disregarded orders for no reason.
Everyone that I pardon will set an example, for the better or worse.
When do you believe it’s appropriate to use a Battlefield Execution?
BE is to be used sparingly and appropriately. It’s a powerful tool that removes someone’s character from the round.
I believe it’s best to use it if there are no MPs around or if there’s a threat to my life or someone’s life.
I would blow someone’s brains out if they are actively destroying the operation integrity, be it shooting friendlies or heavily damaging the frontline intentionally.
I would rip someone’s head off if they’re being LRP, like hitting me with a chair over and over whilst giving a briefing
I would ice someone who’s promoting mutiny or plans that go against mine. If I’m doing a no evac round and this guy is trying to fuck me over to a point where the plan goes to shit he’s going to hell with me.
I would rattle a guy for breaking into the MP bay with his squad to do a jailbreak, and BE everyone involved
If the MP’s haven’t cuffed them/handled them
Everyone but LRPers would get a fair chance in the cells.
Give some examples of when you would or would not use Battlefield Execution.
I wouldn’t BE someone over an accident, like if they accidently shot me during briefing, or shoved me or accidently dropping a grenade when you’re about to throw it
I wouldn’t BE a private for accidently FFing, context is important behind things.
I wouldn’t BE someone over incompetence
I wouldn’t BE someone via ordering someone to do it for me even if the BE target is appropriate.
