Gunter
What is your Synthetic’s Personality?
The Gunter line of synthetics represents the pinnacle of Weyland-Yutani technology. These units are currently in limited pre-release, and not yet in general circulation, we can let you the general public in on what we know. These units have been meticulously crafted to serve high-stakes military environments, blending 1890s gentlemanly manners with cutting-edge technological efficiency. Speaking of Gunter has been programed to have a great sense of formality, politeness, and an unwavering respect for hierarchy and decorum. Always using titles with high ranking officials, directors, and military officers, if not “mister” or “missus” followed by their surname when referring to those of lower rank. His posture is always upright, reflecting a disciplined and proper demeanor, and he adheres strictly to social etiquette, ensuring that interactions are always conducted with the utmost respect and propriety.
Behind closed doors they have been involved weapons research and advanced medical procedures, particularly in settings where high precision and expertise are paramount. Gunter’s interest in weapon development is driven by analytical approach to their design and functionality. Through his programming weapons aren’t just tools, but intricate pieces of engineering that reflect the technological advancements of their time. Gunter is fascinated by the historical significance, and evolution of weaponry. His focus is not on the destructive power of weapons, but rather on their role as artifacts of human ingenuity.
Despite their interests in weapons research he knows how destructive they are. This is why he he approaches medical issues with the same meticulousness he applies to his studies of weapons, focusing on precision, accuracy, and the underlying principles of anatomy and physiology. His specific fascination is in biology. He is interested in how the human body works, how it refuses to give up. This is shown through his fascination chemistry, surgical treatment, and researching how medical innovations can enhance patient care.
As Gunter enters his final mass productions stages the military, government, and Weyland-Yutani are hoping Gunter’s capabilities will be able to support broader operations aboard vessels like the USS Almayer, general hospitals, and other offices outside of the Weyland-Yutani home office. Now that new and improved trials and regulations have been put in place Weyland-Yutani is happy to say he has once again pasted those tests.
How will they react to the different ranks of the USCM, what would they talk about in a one on one conversation? What are their interests? What is an advertisement logline that could be written for them?
“Gunter is the latest in synthetic advancements, offering precision and efficiency with an unwavering dedication to your mission. Engineered with a meticulous focus on detail, Gunter ensures every task is executed to perfection, whether in the medical bay, research lab, or on the battlefield. Now with improvements” As seen in a W-Y synth magazine
Why do you want to be a synthetic/why should we whitelist you?
For a long time I just thought that Synths were cool and it would be fun to be one. Now that I have played the game for a while longer I have respect for what synth players do as a whole. The time and dedication it takes to build a story, and then stick to character. Plus they seem to add to the fun and almost never take away. Based off of the interactions I have had they are always willing to help out, they know their stuff. They help marines get things done. They truly are the multitool of the game.
So based of the fun times that I have had with several synths especially those listed below I would like to add, help, and enhance the player experience through RP, medical help, and going wherever I am needed in order to help with the USCM success as a Synth. You may have noticed by now that these are copied and pasted responses with minor changes. That’s because I one like the answers and two especially with this answer I find it to be true. I not once have had fun taken away from any synth player before in the past either by being a xeno or human so I stand by these statements.
What is your most memorable interaction with a synthetic?
This is from a redacted report from the Weyland-Yutani home office:
Director Crossman sent me me, with Dean to talk to a CLF operative to strike a deal to get a [Redacted]. Dean came into my office on the USS after receiving a fax from Director Crossman. From there we discussed how to go about getting the CLF member out of the brig and down onto the planet again. After choosing our actions carefully we made our way to the back way of brig where Dean made sure the coast was clear. After breaking in we talked and made a deal with the CLF member of interest and managed to get out of the brig with him without raising any alarms. I attribute most of this to Dean. From there we managed to get down to our colony on New Varadero. After a bit of hike we managed to make it to [Redacted] on the East side of the colony. After searching for [Redacted] Dean said that he had found it and gave it to me. I then stowed it away on my person. From there we parted ways with the CLF especially after Dean informed me that his motion detector was starting to pick up pings. With danger starting to come toward us we managed to make our way back and report back to the director we had succeeded in our mission. Only to find out that he wanted us to go back out and [Redacted] the CLF member. By this time it was too late the [redacted] had made their way onto the dropship and were piloting it right into my escort ship. Thankfully Whiteguard Solutions was dispatched to pick me and Dean up. That was something that kept me on the edge of my seat when I was roaming the colony and making our way back and getting off the ship. Please make sure Dean is rewarded accordingly

Synthetic Character Story:
Skills:
Engineering:
Still my weakest area but I have learned a lot and continue to find new things to learn. That being said the wiki is a God send as all answers can be found on there. That being said I am still confident in my abilities and can think on the fly. I can easily get communications online, replace APCs, get the sensor tower online and build up the FOB which continues to be my favorite thing to do while having engineering skills.
Command:
As stated before, I know how to get things going. I have played SO and ASO enough to know their duties. I have also played XO enough and am thankful to the corps for giving me, thus far, a 100% victory rate. It is also worth noting that I have a 100% win rate as CMO when I was the highest-ranking officer. Just ignore the fact that I have only taken XO a handful of times. However, I have been caught as the CMO on a few occasions and have had to run an operation—even giving it my own twist by making it a humanitarian aid brief, which I thought was fun and a bit of a mix-up for a briefing. From there, I make sure someone is setting up the FOB, communications get established, a supply drop gets sent down, and hopefully, they continue to be sent. However, like most here, I find it hard to control the squads and get them to do exactly what I want, as they are like cats… you can’t really herd them. That being said, I do my best to feed them information, remind them of orders, and allow the squads to operate as they see fit. Ultimately, that is the most important part of command; passing down information so that at least someone in each squad has a sense of situational awareness.
Medical:
Just like I stated before, this is by far the best area for me. Thus why I included it in my story for Gunter. The medical field for me is by far the most fun and the RP that I can fit in is the most fun for me. I can preform any surgery any medical procedure, or make any chem.
Requisitions:
I still remember back in the olden days of charger barrels and no search menu to look up what marines want to get stuff out more efficiently. That being said this is such an easy job. Give marines what they want when you can and within reason, make sure materials to build the FOB, and ammo is continuously sent down and prep a front line supply drop as needed. Obviously stamp every paper that comes up as approved by the QM as to make some of the budget back. Make sure ARES isn’t hacked as the fun police will only hamper any supply drops as they fix the computer, and arrest you. Not to down play this role because it is important to the game but this is one of the roles I play when I just wanna turn off my brain and be a busy bee for the round which is fun sometimes. Plus now I have a few more hours watching SmellyHippie play QM or CT and as stated in his application, “I wrote a guide on this, I don’t think there’s more that needs to be said about it other than I don’t play it much anymore.” - (SmellyHippie 2 November 2023). So watching him work was interesting and informative at times. Especially when he was made as a CT goblin.
What are some scenarios that you can perform combat in? Give us a brief example.
While in combat I should be prioritizing self preservation trying to stay away and get out of combat and only fighting when necessary. Which works out for me because I suck at melee combat thus why I boiler and spitter main for combat Xenos haha. That being said combat as a synth is inevitable so I should give you a scenario or two.
While marines are engaged in combat I find that the best place for me to be would be a few tiles behind them. Hopefully as they charge in I can grab a few marines who are critically wounded while staying out of the fighting. That however would be a risky move. If at the front I would much rather be a few tiles behind providing first aid and emergency medical assistance so marines can get back up and fight with out having to walk a long way back to the front.
During an evacuation scenario I should be near a medical area providing and quick patch ups to keep marines moving and alive so they can get on the Alamo (or God forbid the Normandy). In the event of no casualties I should be packing up any resources that may be difficult for the marines to replace, or that they can’t get more of. After doing all that in the event there is no pilot take the controls and launch the drop ship. Obviously I would wait for whoever is command to give the order or under the even more extreme case I would launch it myself if the scenario was really out of control.
With these scenarios in mind I can’t stress this enough I hate and am not good at melee combat. So I would avoid it at all time unless I absolutely had to. If that’s the case you can bet your bottom dollar I will go down swinging with a vengeance.
