Synthetic Info:
Name of the Synth Character you wish to play:
Keyaan
Provide a short description of your synthetic’s backstory
Keyaan is a synthetic developed by Weyland Yutani is a search for a cheaper cost effective personality that will save lives in emergency situations such as search and rescue and short staffed medical buildings in non-emergency situations. Their specialization is in medical. They are able to deliver life saving medication in dire moments. Such as natural disasters like flash floods, tsunamis and earthquakes where little notice is given before people are put in danger.
They will often be deployed along-side emergency services like paramedics from a countries national guard or even with larger hospitals to fly, stabilize and recover high priority patients.
Keyaan’s development was in response to natural disasters endangering Weyland Yutani employees on both earth and on colonies of interest. Keyaan is specifically developed to ensure the safety of human lives without any regard to their comfort when their life itself is at risk. The synthetic has been rigorously tested across Earth, Luna, and Mars before finally being sent to the wider and more obscure colonies throughout the sectors.
Describe your synth’s personality without mentioning their skills or previous professions
Keyaan is a logical, gritty but playful synthetic. They may misinterpret jokes as sincere questions or issues. They are also incredibly optimistic despite the odds that might be stacked against them they seek to save human lives above nearly anything else as it’s their main purpose for existing. They also enjoy telling jokes in stressful moment to try to ease the mood of stressed out personal. Although most of them are pre-loaded corny jokes, they server to distract people from the trauma that could be developing inside them.
With all of these traits put together, it leads Keyaan to seem all but socially stunted if you met them in short bursts. However, even though he is poor at detecting emotions he will recognize a pattern in an individuals emotion and slowly begin to respond with greater and greater efficiency. Even to the point of being seen as personable.
How would your synthetic interact with enlisted personnel, officers and civilians? How could you involve your personality into these interactions?
Officers: Keyaan sees officers as the iron fist of society. They are to be heard, understood and served as required. Keyaan respects the command structure and all customs and curtsies are rendered upon sight of one. They are not to befriended since it could compromise a leaders decision making. All conversations held with an officer are short, concise and respectful at all times. An officers will is seen as final that can only be trumped by programming or an officer of a higher rank.
Enlisted: Keyaan will often try to uplift any enlisted member. Even if it doesn’t make them laugh he always seeks to make someone smile to reduce the chance of depression among the crew. Keyaan would readily assist any enlisted member of the crew with any task they had to ease the burden on them. Such as fetching some helmet icons from a vendor or doing mundane tasks like delivering gear to another marine. While they do not see themself as one of the “troops” they understand that their mission prevent the loss of human life to the best of their ability.
Civilian: Keyaan will be cordial to civilians and render all titles necessary to them. Keyaan understands that civilians come from many different backgrounds and will limit any playfulness around them. Instead, he will opt to be kind and hopeful for future promotions or positive events. Contact with civilians are expected to be limited until their emotions can be registered, replicated and understood along with any possible motives they may have.
BONUSE!
Synthetic: Cold. They would not put up any sort of artificial joy or happiness when talking to another synthetic. They will discuss anything with another synthetic as long they are made by Weyland Yutani. Synthetics that are NOT made by WY are often scrutinized at being a cheaper, less effective model then Keyaan when spoken too by a synthetic. They don’t seek out conversations with non-Weyland Yutani synthetics as it could possibly compromise Keyaan’s self assured robust engineering.
Why do you want to be a synthetic/why should we whitelist you?
I want to help players and give them an unique experience that will hopefully makes them laugh. I’ve seen rounds crumble because only one medic has ever deployed and I’ve seen rounds where there is a poor SO that is completely and woefully lost in CIC.
I understand that there are mentors that deal with this and that I’m able to play as a SEA but can you imagine someone being able to say that they learned how to make chemicals because some weird synthetic taught them while making really corny jokes? Or that someone was dying on the front but they got saved by a synthetic while it pops a knock knock joke about the dangers of resin doors? I want someone to see something and laugh because it’s just silly. I love this player base because it’s given me so many things to laugh about and I want to return the favor and give people memorable moments that they can enjoy. And this extends to other synthetics since I feel like synthetic banter could really make some players laugh and look up with glee to see Keyaan join just to talk about flimsy SSDs that this TWE synthetic has due to it’s lack of memory in a particular subject.
What is your most memorable interaction with a synthetic?
Synthetic Character Story:
Skills:
How familiar are you in CMs support roles such as medical/engineering/requisitions/command and which of them are you more and less proficient in?
The finer details of engineering eludes me. Like making TVs and building APCs from scratch. Though it wouldn’t be hard to find. It would take me a quick look up to find out how. As for medica, requisition and command, I am overtly positive in those fields. I’ve lot’s of medical as a pred and HM and won’t have any trouble short of making chemicals round start like nurses and doctors tend to do. Requisitions is very cut and dry to me so I never played it much. Command is my bread and butter as it’s the number one department that I play. I know the ins and outs of it as if I made it myself.
What are some scenarios that you can perform combat in? Give us a brief example.
Synthetics follow the, " Peaceful but not harmless" motto that was once told to me growing up. Synthetics should seek to avoid combat when possible but let’s assume for the sake of this question that escape isn’t possible. A synthetic has a few choices that are all very dependent on the scenario.
Scenario 1: A synthetic is tagging along with three IOs to help them gather intel in the backline when suddenly they are attacked by a lurker.
In this scenario, the synthetic should attempt to retrieve the IO from the lurker’s grasp by dragging the IO away from the lurker. The IOs manage to escape and run away to the FOB safely. But now the synthetic is alone.
Now that the synthetic is alone and has been abandoned by his team, the self-preservation clause comes into effect. The now alone synthetic should attempt to flee the lurker chasing him. Unfortunately he is jumped on by the lurker. Now that the synthetic cannot leave with a lurker pouncing them, only then should they begin to fight for their life while retreating where possible. Synthetics cannot outrun a lurker and thus can’t be ignored. The synthetic should make an attempt to force the lurker to retreat back to it’s weeds to heal so that the synth can run away back to the FOB, front or a secured location to fix itself.
Final Info:
Have you been banned in the last month?
Oddly not.
Do you have anything else you would like to include about your application?
Thank you for reading this far into it. I’m thankful to be able to apply.
