Reason for Ban:
So - the scout has successfully infiltrated the hive midround and, somehow - has managed to plant goddamn C4 on Queen (really cool play, actually). The moment this happened - I spawned in as a lesser drone (before explosion, but after the load was planted), made one or two steps from the core and did a single slash, hitting spec for a single time. Here is also a screenshot of said ban reasoning: image hosted at ImgBB — ImgBB (Rules 6, metagaming).

Your appeal:
First of all - I believe that xenomorphs, in fact - share the same hivemind network both in terms of universe’s lore and our ingame lore. As in, whatever is seen by xenomorph can also be seen any other xenomorph. So, if C4 is planted on Queen - the hive could absolutely reciprocate, spawning lessers immediately. Certain assumptions about presence of a threat can be made, but I won’t dive deeper into that since its going to be useless.
Secondarily - the action is disproportionate to the offense. A single slash was made (which could as well be completely random, as the scout could’ve easily relocated to any other position around the hive. No attempt at chasing was made (I literally gibbed myself after doing a single slash). No beelining was done either - scout was LITERALLY one or two tiles away from core’s general location.
Third - the application of metagame rule is extremely cloudy, just as the nature of this rule after multiple limitations (first landing, etc) were made. This, combined with the nature of lesser drones - makes it troublesome to really say what metagame is in this situation. I constantly see lessers spawning after someone gets hugged to drag them away, or lessers beelining straight to enemy positions (which they, supposedly and judging by stalkerino’s application of the rule - shouldn’t be able to do). Same with huggers, and oftenly - the rule is not even applied in the same manner, which creates discrepancy in staff’s judgement (and the potential for bias). By metagaming rule - melting things is fine, but at the same time - drone squads often end up going right for particular spots to either catch survs or to melt important equipment. Is this metagaming, or not?
What I want to say is that, in current realities - this rule is applied unfairly and in a manner that heavily relies on personal judgement. Plus - my action, random or not - had literally no impact on the round whatsoever, which also, in my opinion - should be considered in proportion to the duration of the ban on the first bannable offense in ages. (My last ban was literally in 2018, hah). (Although I do have a recent non-related warning).
Along with that - I want to bring up the entire issue with lessers to the discussion in the staff team, possibly.
I am not sure if its possible to have an appeal and a staff report at the same also, but that’s an another conversational topic. That’s it, I guess.
EDIT: I also want to add that, by my knowledge - alien hives/weeds are alive in some way (some structures literally have something like “its more alive than you are” as a description. And, as hive core is connected to weeds - wouldn’t such an action as an intruder being two steps away from hive core/planting c4 on queen be responded with by lesser dispatch?
EDIT 2: Based on my information - no report was made on me by the single person related to the incident (scout specialist), and they actually had no problem with whatever I did. Screenshot (image hosted at ImgBB — ImgBB). It would be appreciated if staff team confirms it.
