Acting on the recommendation of others when my first appeal was denied, I decided to wait a year to appeal again, not only because they had recommended it but also because I thought it would give me time to reasses. Now, with the year having come and went, I am glad I made that decision. CM PVE has been a lovely community for me all that time, and that desire I had for contribution to SS13 codebases was pretty much filled up with it. So much so, that I have been told by a couple of people that I should really finish a port for my PVE dropship airlock over to PVP (unfortunately that has been put on hold until I can figure out a way for it to work with multi-Z and Thwomper’s dropship.) I would love to do more, but the more my PVE projects tie back into PVP the more I realise how much I missed contributing for a larger and more mechanically intensive game.
My abuse of multikeying as a way to stop being toxic towards people in the community was a terrible, hurtful action, both to SmellyHippie and other people, and I am sorry. I had spent years administrating over the server and yet I still thought I was entitled to some sense of martyrdom against people I had an inexplicable anger against. With the passage of time, I can’t help but look over my former actions with shame and regret over what I was so toxic about. Eventhough Harry has kindly restored my permissions to talk in PVP (for the purposes of contributing to PVE,) the ocassional discussions I do involve in feel wrong without being appreciative of how PVP has developed over the year and a half.
I am sorry for all the hurt I caused, I hope, with this passage of time, it can be excused. I have no intention to replicate the toxic behaviours in the community, but I do want to contribute for PVP in conjunction with my contributions to PVE. I also want to be entertained by the game I played so much of a while ago. If the hurtful toxicity I used to say can be forgiven, if I can be trusted one more time, I will recognise it for the tremendous faith that it is, and I will never again mean to anger people for what is a silly, fun spessgame. There is nothing quite like it.
